HAMBURG: Tunisia's state grains agency is believed to have purchased about 50,000 tonnes of animal feed barley to be sourced from optional origins in an international tender for up to 75,000 tonnes which closed on Friday, European traders said.

The barley was said to have been bought in two 25,000 tonne consignments, one at $211.92 a tonne c&f from trading house Cargill and one at $213.85 a tonne c&f from Solaris, traders said.

The barley was sought for shipment between March 1 and April 10 depending on origin.
